Mesmerized

i was dreaming of the forest

i was running through the trees

until i finally lost my balance

and it brought me to my knees.

i was thinking of an idea

but it vanished from my sight

i had to wonder all the morning

i had to wonder all the night

i wondered till imagination

took hold and i could feel my muse

i wondered till procrastination

made me come up with an excuse

i was lying down beside you

and i saw within your eyes

a kind of fire deep inside you

and it held me mesmerized.
